Carlisle
Dubbed as the Great Border City, Carlisle sits south of the Scottish Border where the rivers Eden, Caldew, and Petteril converge. It is the largest among the Cumbria counties in terms of population with settlers pegged at over a hundred thousand. Modern Carlisle is the heart of industrial, cultural and commercial activities in the northern side of Cumbria.
